There are different formulations of epoxy putty from different manufacturers. Also there different formulations from the same manufacturer developed for different purposes. Curing times vary from a few minutes with repair type putties to 4 hours or more for some sculpting putty.

The most popular formulations are made by Aves Studio under the brand name of Apoxie and Wesco under the brand name Magic-Sculpt. Both of these manufacturers have been producing epoxy putty for a number of years. Aves was developed by a chemist who loved to do taxidermy to accomplish some of the various tasks involved in preserving and recreating nature.

Wesco’s Magic-Sculpt may also be found as Magic Sculp. It is the same product under a slightly different name.
